Now in its second year, The Glasgow Barons Early Music Festival returns to Govan, bringing the music of the Renaissance and Baroque eras to life in one of Scotland’s most atmospheric and culturally rich communities. Hosted across the beautiful Govan Old Parish Church and Govan Linthouse Parish Church, this year’s festival offers a weekend of intimate concerts, masterclasses, and rare repertoire, performed by internationally acclaimed artists and rising stars including: The Dunedin Consort, The Wallace Collection, Iuchair Ensemble, The Hepburn IV, Benjamin Shute and Mhairi Lawson with Alex McCartney.

Expect vibrant live music that spans Monteverdi to Buxtehude, performed on period instruments, in spaces where ancient and modern Govan meet. With accessible pricing, local engagement, and a welcoming festival atmosphere, this is an essential date in Scotland’s early music calendar.

Tickets are now live — book early to avoid missing out!

Popular concerts sold out last year, so we recommend securing your seats in advance.
