Little Melonae puts together three of Scotland’s brightest Jazz talents, Harben Kay (tenor saxophone) Stephen Henderson (drums) and Brodie Laird-Jarvie (acoustic bass). The trio explores repertoire from the likes of Jackie Mclean, Carla Bley, Alice Coltrane and Ornette Coleman.
Their sound draws upon the jazz post-bop tradition, allowing for free improvisation and explosive interplay. Formed in 2025, the band’s debut performance was to a sold-out audience at the iconic Jazz Bar in Edinburgh as part of the Jazz and Blues Festival.
Thu 14th May, 1pm. Free entry, disabled access @ Govan & Linthouse Church, opposite Govan subway station.
