Little Melonae puts together three of Scotland’s brightest Jazz talents, Harben Kay (tenor saxophone) Stephen Henderson (drums) and Brodie Jarvie (acoustic bass). The trio explores repertoire from the likes of Jackie Mclean, Carla Bley, Alice Coltrane and Ornette Coleman.
Their sound draws upon the jazz post-bop tradition, allowing for free improvisation and explosive interplay. Formed in 2025, the band’s debut performance was to a sold-out audience at the iconic Jazz Bar in Edinburgh as part of the Jazz and Blues Festival.
Thu 14th May, 1pm. Free entry, disabled access @ Govan & Linthouse Church, opposite Govan subway station.
