The Lullaby Project

The Lullaby Project pairs expecting and new parents with professional musicians to write and sing personal lullabies for their babies, supporting maternal health, aiding child development, and strengthening the bond between parent and child.

Developed by Carnegie Hall in New York City, the project reaches parents in healthcare settings, homeless shelters, high schools, foster care, correctional facilities, refugee camps, and other community centers.

What’s it all about?

The Lullaby Project supports families across the country and the world. There are currently 40+ partners in the Lullaby network, located in the United States, Canada, UK, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Cyprus, and Greece.

The Glasgow Barons has paired with Carnegie Hall to develop the Lullaby Project in our community and to build local support and stakeholders to invest in the project’s success and sustainability. The Glasgow Barons will join a strong community of Lullaby Project organisations across the world, who come together throughout the year for webinars and an international convening to share best practices, new research, and songs written by participants. This is a program of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.
